Ryoshiban Android version + Update
Ryoshiban » Devlog
After almost a year since the original game was released, an Android version of Ryoshiban is publicly available! Now you can jump inside the quantum computer and solve puzzles on the go as well.
Alongside the mobile version's release, the game itself has also received an update. Notable changes compared to the original release version include:
- Snappier movement: The original version received some feedback about the controls feeling a bit sluggish, since you had to wait for the player character to finish moving before you could move again. This has been rectified and you can now move as fast as you can tap!
- Added sound effects: Sound effects for pushing qubits, unlocking doors and finishing levels have now been added. And if you'd prefer a silent game session, a settings menu is now available where you can choose to mute either the background ambience or the newly added sounds.
- Updated save system: The way that the game tracks which levels you have finished has been updated. Unfortunately, the visible effect for now is only that you'll have to replay levels you have finished in the previous version. But should we later release new levels or rearrange old ones, the new save system will allow you to keep your progress through any future updates.
- Tweaks to levels: Gameplay of some levels has been slightly tweaked. Also, small visual issues with a few levels, such as missing game elements or misaligned cameras have been fixed.
The WebGL version of the game has been updated with these changes, and a new Windows version is also available for download. The original Windows and Mac versions of the game are also still available for posterity. These have been marked as "Jam Versions" on the download list.
Hopefully you'll enjoy this new and even shinier version of Ryoshiban!
